Net Worth

August 18th, 2008 · No Comments

I so love reading the Net Worth blogs on Chatty Women and I thought I would share with you my Net Worth.  Now if you blink you will miss it.  LOL!  Actually right now my husband is transitioning from a Union Organizer which put so much stress on his life I could hardly stand living with him most of the time.  They were the biggest bunch of ….. you have ever worked with in your life and there was no way they were doing anything to benefit the union carpenters here in Northern CA.  If anything they were making it harder for them to stay employed.  So now he is going into the Fire Service full time and that is a very time consuming and challenging job seeking process.  But it is all going to be great once it is done.  Until that happens though we are living on his unemployment of $810 every two weeks and then my checks of about $1100 every two weeks.  Money is tight but it is all good.  Right now as it stands here is my net worth information.

401K and Pensions from his previous job $100,000 ish

My IRA $1500.00

ING Savings $10.00

Redwood Credit Union Savings $100.00

2 Savings Bonds at $50.00 each

Sunshine Rewards $287.00

Debt is close to $20,000 including both cars and the vacuum.

Hubby needs new running shoes, cashed out on 3 mypoints accounts last night for 2 $25.00 gift cards and 1 $10.00 gift card for Foot Locker.

Overall view at 31 years old is we got lots of money for retirement right now.  Far more then most people our age.  However, right now we got nada.  LOL!

Until next time…..

Progesterone Cream for Pregnancy

August 13th, 2008 · No Comments

I have spent over 4 years trying to have a child and three failed pregnancies later I have found that one major role in trying to concieve and staying pregnant for me was my progesterone level.  I have always found that I know way to much about my body.  That can be a good thing and a bad thing.  But I have been reading on a forum how some people have miscarried and some people have the baby bug and I thought I would share the imprtance of progesterone with you.  Although most doctors if you have had repeated miscarriages will prescribe it some people aren’t lucky enough to get it at the pharmacy price and have to buy it off of the market shelves.  And then you find yourself wondering which one to get.  Well I have found a natural progesterone cream that may be perfect for you.  As you will see on website progesterone can help in many ways but it really can be a life saver for some.  No pun intended there.  Here are some quotes from this website:

PROGESTERONE & OVULATION
Declining levels of progesterone signal the uterus to shed its endometrial lining. This results in a shortening of the menstrual cycle, resulting in anovulatory and irregular cycles, and early onset of peri-menopause.

PROGESTERONE AND PREGNANCY
Progesterone transforms the lining of the uterus into the endometrium. Soft, spongy, rich in blood vessels and glandular tissue, the endometrium forms a perfect bed for the egg. Progesterone also relaxes the uterus to give the egg a better chance to implant itself into the endometrium.

PROGESTERONE & MISCARRIAGE
Progesterone is essential to insure implantation and to prevent rejection of the developing embryo. Without necessary levels of progesterone the endometrium cannot sustain and will naturally abort the embryo.

So what are you waiting for?  Please check this site out and maybe it will just change your life.

Until next time…

Living in a Sky is Falling World

August 11th, 2008 · No Comments

Recently I feel as though I have been living in a sky is falling world.  I have found myself unable to do anything I want to do at home because I am dealing with all the issues of work.  I so love my job but I so hate it when everyone around me thinks the world is going to come to an end.  I have been picking up hosting shifts because we are down a hostess.  I love doing it.  Working the floor, interacting with people, it can’t get any better, but ….. It really sucks when I am working a full day in the office doing work and then I have to work a full night on the floor.  I just am not 21 anymore.  I can’t do it all the time.  And then adding six days a week to the mix is even harder.  So this weekend I spent the whole weekend just veging.  I was going to take pictures for you all of the destruction derby at our fair, that we never got to.  I couldn’t even pull out my camera for the parade that was really really good.  Then my hubby who got back on Saturday night and I went to lunch with some friends and 7 hours later we left to go home.  And all I ate was a 1/2 of quesadilla.  I so needed it though.  The only think in the last two weeks I have really been able to get done is update my other crafting blog with pictures of our upcoming outfits we are going to sell on our website.  I did set up a credit card option on our website too but that took all of 5 seconds.  I really don’t know why I felt like the world needed to hear about this but you all just did.  Technically this week I am only working 4 days but I am sure I am going to get roped into something else.  I guess it is all nature of the beat when the sky is falling here.

Until next time……

Personalized Books

August 8th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I came across this site a year ago when I was looking for great gifts to give my nieces and god daughters for Christmas.  Ali, my niece, is really into books and really into all about me.  And I thought it would be totally fitting to get her a book that was simply all about her.  So I came across this site that had personalized children’s books and I just had to share it with you.  These books are totally cool.  I know they are a little up their in price but the look on their face when they open a book and they find out it is about them.  My favorite happens to be the Fairy Tale book.  It is just beautiful and so worth the $30 you spend for it.  I just had to share this with you and suggest that if you are looking for something wonderful to share with a little one you look at these.

 Until next time….

Pimping your Pool

August 3rd, 2008 · No Comments

My in laws bought a house back in February that has a really great pool but it needed a little pimping.  I love looking at different sites for really cool things that would make their pool just a little bit cooler than it is.  Last night when I was surfing the web I came across this place that has really cool pool floats.  They have some really cool ones for little guys too.  My favorite on the site through are the poolside bean bags.  They look so fun.  Most of the items ship for free on their site too.  Check them out.Until next time…..

Booking a Disney Cruise

August 2nd, 2008 · No Comments

Finally a paid offer right up my alley.  This one is for the Disney Cruise Line.  And man do I know about the Disney Cruise Line and booking reservations.  Back in May when my parents brought the Magic through the Panama Canal they booked our Disney cruise for December 5, 2009.  The total cost for a Catagory 9 guaranteed was $1700 for my husband and I for the 7 night cruise.  A fabulous deal considering the fact that if I called in and booked it it would have added about $200 to our reservations.  Well today I got this offer for this cruise booking company called Cruise Cheap which had some fabulous rates on Disney cruises.  On this website we found that the same cruise that we booked on the ship would cost for two people about the same as if you were to call the Disney Cruise line itself.  With one catch.  When you booked through them you received a $25.00 onboard credit.  Okay that is only 2 drinks but it is still better then nothing and a reduced deposit rate.  It is a pretty good perk actually.  Not as great as some of the other places I found but if the other places don’t have a cruise available to book through them this is a great choice.  If I wouldn’t have already paid almost 1/2 of my cruise through free gift cards I earned through Sunshine I would seriously think about switching over to Cruise Cheap to get my cruise.  Next time I know though.  So check it out!  You could save a little or break even with a onboard credit to boot.

Until next time…..

Been looking for outdoor lights

July 31st, 2008 · No Comments

And I finally found the ones I have been looking for.  They are from this company that I found called lighting fixtures.  These lights are just totally too cool.  They are for the outside and are hanging style pine top lantern lights that are solar lit. These lights are so cool.  I also found while I was on their site these great garden globe lights.  With the house I am in now these are going to be a great addition.  I would totally suggest everyone who is looking for lights like these to check this place out.  They really are great.Until next time.

Renting a Motorcycle in Vegas

July 31st, 2008 · No Comments

Okay so maybe not in the dead of summer but I can just picture riding down the strip on the back of a harley with the wind blowing through your hair (under the helmet that is).  There is this place that has motorcycle tours actually in vegas.  Tours that actually include hotel rooms and everything.  It is an amazing company with a ton of tours including ones internationally.  And the prices are great too.  I really couldn’t believe how much you got for the price you pay.  Check out Motorcycle Tours. For two people for three days and two night for $79 for the two of you.  That is just a great price I think for an adventure like that.  And if you decided to check out maybe Spain it would cost approximately $2500.00.  That is for eight days and 7 nights.  Really great if you ask me.  They even have some off road tours that are just killer.   Until next time….
