View from the Valley

I have been going over what I am going to write now for days and today on my way to work I figured it out.  I am a huge country music fan.  Give me a little Tim McGraw anytime of the day and I am happy as a clam.  My love for country started with Indian Outlaw back over 10 years ago.  I remember where I was at when I heard that song for the first time.  And then when I found out that his dad and uncle lived in the same town as me I fell in love even more.  Then a year or so ago I heard a song on the radio called Tim McGraw and I thought to myself what an amazing honor.  To have someone sing about you in that way.  And I listened and listened.  At the time I had satelite radio and on the top country station it was played over and over.  But every time I heard this song I thought about the same things she thought about.  Where was I when Indian Outlaw was played first and Live Like You were Dying?  From that point on I grew to love this new little singer named Taylor Swift.  So on my way to work today I heard Tim McGraw again and that song wasn’t the song that got stuck in my head it was Our Song.  And now as I write this it plays over and over, “Our song is a slamming screen door.” How can such a new artist put out hits like this over and over again.  She has four songs that play here on the radio all the time.  And each song just makes you crave for more.  From the first one I heard to her newest Picture to Burn this 19 year old country girl from PA is taking the music scene by storm.  And I absolutly love her.  I can’t wait to hear what she has coming out next.  If they are all like these songs then this girl is gonna be a superstar in no time at all.
