View from the Valley

Several years ago I was introduced to Sushi by a group of friends.  From then on I was what you would call a Fair Weather Sushi Fan.  That is until I found Sushi Yu here in my hometown.  This place is amazing.  They are brand new and they know how to make sushi.  You can often find Henry and Francis behind the sushi boat and Francis’s wife Emily greeting guests.  They are always so warm to my husband and I.  Their food is even better.  When asked how old their fish was my friend was told 1/2 hour.  Now that is fresh fish.  And it shows.  My sister and I have threatened them with taking over the sushi boat’s 2 seats.  Although we can get a group of 5 and 6 there at any given time we just can’t get the whole boat full.  Some of my favorite dishes are the Super CA which is a baked California Roll and the Dragon Roll with its eel and yummy sauces.  I have taken some pictures for you all to see.  Some of the great sushi and the pink bottle there is champagne saki and it tastes like bananas.  It is pretty darn good.  If you are ever in the area come by and check out my favorite sushi joint.  I am sure you will feel the same way too. Until next time…….
