Article Submission Tools

by cate on April 9, 2008

Ever since I started blogging I often find myself wondering if anyone else is writing about similar topics. Trying to use Google or Yahoo as a search engine is usually painful and will not link me with the most relevant sites for my search terms. I’ve also tried using Digg – a popular blog post submission site – to search for relevant articles but even that is difficult sometimes. For example, the other day when NKOTB was announcing their reunion I could not find anything relevant on Digg for hours. It was rather frustrating.

Luckily there are some bloggers who are recognizing this developing problem and they are beginning to make websites that act as article databases. Basically you can go to their site, type in a key word, and then press search and they will return all relevant blog posts to that topic for you to search through. In order to build their directories they do the hard part of reading blogs for you and then linking the article to their database. One hot topic I run across on the web is how to make Online payments secure so as to protect your business and your customer’s data. I decided to try the key words online payments in an article database and was quickly led to two articles in less than 30 seconds.

Another point of interest to bloggers out there is that you can submit your own articles to these databases. For example, the site I visited was Web-Articles.info and they contained a link in their navigation bar for free article submission with the guidelines for articles to be accepted by the site for linkage. I liked how they clearly outlined each criteria and how easy it was to find the submit article link. I have come across many disorganized or difficult to navigate blog directories and article submission sites recently and I have actually navigated away if it was too difficult to find these simple things. If you are trying to market your blog or just find relevant articles to link to visit Web-Articles.info and try their free online article directory.
