I was playing on some of my favorite message boards today and I came across a thread from a few months ago. The topic of the thread was…wait for it… a NKOTB reunion tour. OH YEAH BABY! Talk about bringing up some memories. This was my first concert experience in the 4th grade with my dad. He actually took me to camp out for the tickets at 6 am and then took me to the concert a few months later. It was such fun.
I would be thrilled to death if they did a reunion tour and it hit up Houston. I wonder if I could relieve that experience with my dad 20 years later. There is still not an official announcement by the band but per People magazine in January there was a planned tour, there is a new song released on the official website, as well as a countdown timer to this Friday, April 6th. I’m hoping that it represents an official announcement with tour dates since they will be on the Today Show Friday morning at 6am.
So if you are in the Houston area and want to hit up the concert let me know. Mike already said he was not willing to sit through a concert but he would send me and a bud! What a great guy

I’m so there, Catherine. I try to come to Houston once a month anyway. My first concert was Garth Brooks with my mom, but I think the NKOTB were the first musical act that I really enjoyed and liked all on my own - without parental influence.

The big boy band when I was in school was Menudo….does ANYONE remember them? They were only big for a couple of years…..Have fun at your concert!
