I often think about my parents moving over to Texas in a few years to be closer to me. One thing I cringe when thinking of them moving over here is trying to sell their house and how much the home improvements would cost to get their 27 year old house up to date and comperable to other houses on the market. But even if they end up not moving over here I’d love to see the house updated with new carpets, wallpaper, flooring, and some new walls in the living room (we still have panelling!). But with the cost of all those major home improvements I’m sure they can’t do them all at once.
