Calling all Photo Junkies

by cate on March 25, 2008

Are you a fellow photo freak? I certainly am. I tend to go on vacation and pull the “we don’t have enough pictures of us” or “these pictures are going to last a lifetime so we need to look nice and take a bunch”. These attitudes result in hundreds of vacation pictures that end up sitting in envelops or photo albums because I cannot display them all. Its quite sad in a way. I love taking pictures and want to display more than just one or two in photo frames but I’m not quite sure the best way to do that without junking up my apartment. My problem is only going to get worse after my 10 day trip to the UK in May and my 10 day trip to Walt Disney World in September.

One thing that my brother suggested to me was looking into buying some digital photo frames because you can display more than one picture by saving a bunch of pictures to a memory stick and setting the digital photo frames to rotate between pictures on a timer. I thought it was an excellent solution to my photo problem and started to look into it but got a tad overwhelmed with all the choices and features out there. There wasn’t any clear way to compare photo frames and for the cost of one I really want to be able to compare. I did find Digital Frames Direct which is a site located in the UK which has reasonably priced frames (even with the Pound to Dollar conversion!) and has a comparison set up on their website for you to easily see which features each frame has. The comparison really helped me to narrow down which frames would work best for me and my pictures at a price I could easily afford. Digital Frames Direct does accept orders from outside the UK so if you see a frame at a price you want don’t worry about not being able to buy it. Additionally, if you need to order some corporate gifts, Digital Frames Direct does work with you directly to see frames in bulk at discounts.

So next time you are wondering what to do with all of your pictures, like I will be after my 2 trips this year, think about possibly buying a digital photo frame.

I should look into this for my mom-I’ve been thinking of getting her one she can display, as the pictures in our house are kind of old.

awesome idea! I’ve always passed by them in the store, thinking they were too expensive, but it would be so nice to actually view our photos instead of keeping them in albums all the time!

I so need one of these. I am the person who never changes the photos in picture frames.
