Best Buy Trade in Center
March 14th, 2010 · No Comments
While perusing the coupons and flyers which came with the Sunday paper today, I noticed that Best Buy featured a new feature that is both in-store and online: The Best Buy Trade-in Center. It looks like it could be a great way to get a little extra cash from your own electronics that are outdated, [...]

Check out the in-store coupons
March 12th, 2010 · No Comments
As I’ve said time and time again, I am a huge fan of coupons…and of Whole Foods. Since I made that post, a Whole Foods has opened near me. I grabbed one of their Whole Deal circulars. As I leafed through it, I found that there were several substantial ($1 off) coupons for items I [...]

Merely an observation…
March 8th, 2010 · No Comments
So, about 18 months ago I ordered some Prescription sunglasses from Zenni Optical. They were around $20, and while not as thin as my usual lenses, they were pretty good. My prescription is high enough that I cannot go with most cheapo eyeglasses-had I bought the glasses that are included in my medical [...]
Swap your jeans this weekend…

It looks like no matter what style jean wearer you are, be it Paige Denim or Gap jeans, you can get a little something for swapping your jeans this weekend.
If you’re located in the greater Boston area, and your tastes trend towards higher-end jeans such as Citizens of Humanity or Joe Jeans, the National Jean [...]

I hit up the outlets on Saturday
February 23rd, 2010 · No Comments
I went with my mother, who needed undergarments. I was looking for a dress for Easter/my upcoming cruise. I also had some birthday money which wanted to be spent at Cosmetics Company Outlet (CCO). I browsed in the GAP Outlet, which had nothing amazing. However, if you’re a fan of the old-school scents like Heaven [...]

I have now used both of my Groupons…
February 20th, 2010 · 4 Comments
And I have to say, Groupon gets a rousing thumbs-up from me. They were very different Groupons-one to a restaurant, one to a store. The restaurant one was easy as anything to redeem and use, if you’ve ever redeemed a Restaurant.com gift certificate you can do it.
My other Groupon, sand the one I’d like to [...]
Override vs. Stop and Shop’s gas station
February 18th, 2010 · No Comments
So, I’ve been using Override* for a year. However, my local Stop and Shop just got a gas station-I loved the gas station at my college Stop and Shop, so I was looking forward to trying it out. I finally got my chance yesterday, and I have to say-Stop and Shop kicks Override’s booty to [...]
Penny for my Thoughts review: Mybirthdaycandle.com and Altonbrown.com
February 17th, 2010 · No Comments
I love shopping online, but I hate the following: buying items on sites which a)charge shipping, b) I can’t get cashback on Sunshine Rewards, or c) I can’t find any reviews about them. I’ve recently made purchases on two such sites, and I thought I’d offer my review to the web on them.
The first is [...]
Groupon, again
December 15th, 2009 · No Comments
I made my second Groupon today-I ordered a gift certificate to a store that has been catching my eye for a bit. I also experienced a wonderous headdesk-I was waiting for my previous Groupon to come in the mail, but it’s waiting to be printed in my groupon account. Oops.
