So, I am swamped with finals, but I wanted to get a quick blog post in any way.  For my study abroad class, I am writing about microcredit.  Microcredit is a form of giving loans to people in third world countries, like you can do on Kiva.  At one collective we went to in El Salvador, they mentioned selling ropa interior among the many things which they sell.  I could see our translator pause, and then he called it lingerie (we Spanish speakers were lolling).  In case you were wondering, I do not think the woman who sells the lingerie ends up having to buy lingerie online.  She, along with her colleagues who sell more genteel things like clothes and candy, buy their items at the capital city.  As in the country it is not exactly possible to just order lingerie online
, these local collectives enable them to support their neighbors and get what they need.  Anyway, I am SO looking forward to a week from now when all of my papers are done and I can relax and read fun books…at least until summer school starts.  I cannot believe that I am almost halfway done with graduate school.  Wow!
