Job hunting

Know what stinks?  Job hunting.  I am happily out of the rat race which is an active job hunt, but by perusing my Facebook timeline, there are definitely people still out there who are job hunting as hard as they can and failing.  There can be days it all seems like such a losing proposition:  you send out a bajillion cover letters, you meet with recruiters, you post your resume and all you get are offers to sell life insurance.

What if there was a site where you could post a resume and have good luck?  Sideskills is such a site.  Whether you are posting your resume in search of full-time work, part-time work, or freelance writing (I may check it out for the latter two options once I start graduate school), you will have an engaged audience on this site.  Additionally, if you are looking to fill a job, the candidate screening tools are fabulous.  I really like that this site pushes the idea that it is social, as most resume posting sites seem very static (and impersonal, if I had a dollar for every time a staffing agency called me to come in, and I’d already met with them…shaking my head)
