As you know, I’m a Bzzagent. I recently received a chance to join their Hill’s® Science Diet® Ideal Balance™ campaign for their cat food. Now, as I unfortunately could not get my kitties to write this review, and I do not think that “Mew, mrrrr” counts as a BzzReport, I will do my best.
When it comes to cat food, my main goals are to get food which is corn-free (preferably grain-free), contains meat as the first ingredient (preferably human-grade), and fits my cats needs. Until recently my kitties were fed kitten food, now that they are on big boy food, I try to get an indoor formula.
Hill’s is a brand I rarely buy because I feel that they use too much corn and are over-hyped (I am greatly amused by the fact that the Ideal Balance brags about being corn-free, yet they push corn protein elsewhere on their site).
It looks like cat food. I did notice that it smelled closer to broccoli than most cat foods, which I attribute to the pea flour. However, it was a huge hit with the cats. Thing 1 literally ate all around his beloved wet food to get at it, and Thing 2 also enjoyed it. Both literally licked their platters clean.
I will try other adult cat foods, but I would have to say that Hill’s® Science Diet® Ideal Balance™ was a hit.
