Did you know that there are different kinds of SEO (Search Engine Optimization)?  It’s not just about ranking high in Google or bing or yahoo.  I recently attended a few blogging basics courses.  There are kind of two styles of SEO:  White hat and black hat.  Much like what the bad cowboy wore, black hat SEO is the bad kind of SEO.  It includes things such as cloaking links, using hidden text, and other less upstanding methods of search engine optimization.

The good cowboy of SEO,  white hat, relies on more legit tricks such as tags and titles.  One big thing that Google is not crazy about is people using paid links to up the amount of back links to their site.  While this can boost your page rank, it is not something Google looks kindly on if you do it.
