Argh, again

by hedy on September 28, 2011

Credit: Free images from acobox.comEarly yesterday morning my land-line rang (well, early for me-I work 2nd shift, so calling me at 8 is early).  There was a voicemail from Chase-my Amazon card has fraudulent activity.  Great.  Charges were reversed, new card is on its way.  I’m cranky because I’m 90% sure it’s connected to a broken Charlie Card machine I happened upon last week.

I own a cleaning service & we charge cards all the time. Every now and then, we have a new customer who calls telling us that their card will be declined due to fraudulent charges on the card. I’m far from an expert on this but the most common reason is usually due to one of two reasons: 1) big online purchases, or 2) multiple purchases within a short timeframe.

Like I said, I’m no expert but these two reasons seem to be the most common for us. Anyway, not sure if this helps but it’s a little FYI if anything, right??
