So, as we all know, Twilight merchandise is a dime a dozen these days (is anyone else wondering what things would have looked like in 1998 for Titanic stuff if the web was bigger? Frankly, I wonder if some of the hardcore Twilight merchandise makers are people who missed out on Titanic merchandise marketing-see this post is topical about personal finance-LOL). It seems as if merchandise for Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland is going to be the next big marketing push (at Hot Topic, if no place else-I like the Cheshire cat hairclips. I also like the Scissor Bow Barrettes-on the girl with the blonde mullet-I presume a nod to the Mad Hatter’s comment to Alice*)
I really like some of the make-up tie-ins I’ve seen around-Sephora is going to have a pop-up Urban Decay pallette that’s Alice in Wonderland themed-it’s due to come our on the 28th of December. I’ve become pretty disillusioned with OPI nail polish* (I think their stuff isn’t as good as they think it is), but they have some new Alice themed shades.
*FWIW, I’ve become a China Glaze convert. Better, more diverse polishes, at a better price that are easy to find at Sally’s. However, I cannot find the Wizard of Oz collection near to me (I really wanted to do a themed nail for when I saw Wicked last week-I ended up doing a vague Boq/Nessa nail with Lubu heels (black with red glitter) and silver tip, by la deco’s silver.

Have you tried the OPI for Sephora polish or just the regular OPI polish you get everywhere else? I have been wondering if they cut corners with the “made for Sephora” ones but kept the price point up.
I love Urban Decay so I’ll have to take a peak at the makeup palette coming out. There was a cute one for the Smurfs movie but I couldn’t do the amount of blue it required.
Just the regular OPI-I think I’m just disillusioned by OPI’s “Let’s pick a theme, and slap cutesy names on the same colors as last year schtick
