Despite being a household of two people, we belong to both BJ’s and Costco (long story…they have stuff for my mother’s volunteering at both places). I prefer BJ’s-I feel they have more name brands I want, you can use manufacturer coupons, and I can use my Visa card. However, I was recently poking around because I’m giving BigNephew a Flip Mino for his 13th birthday next month, and I had heard they had a good deal. BJ’s had it online, but once you added in shipping ($9.99, for crying out loud), it was the same price as Amazon or Zappos (I didn’t know they carried electronics either, but learned it via Shopzilla). Costoco.com was sold out, but I called our local Costco, and while they couldn’t tell me the price over the phone, they had them. I got one-it was $15 less than I’d seen it online, plus it came with a case. I hated missing out on Sunshine Rewards credit, but the dollar is king.
In other news related to the nephews, we went to go see Bedtime Stories and I offered to buy them snacks.* Their options were a small popcorn, a candy, or a “go box,” which consists of a small popcorn; a small soda, juice or Icee; and a bag of M&M’s or Granola bites. The Go box was the best value, but I wanted to see what the boys decided on. LittleNephew announced he did not like popcorn(yet wanted some of mine later), so he got a box of candy. BigNephew, who is frugal, opted for the Go box, and was very happy.
*This was partially done on selfish motives on Autie Hedy’s part-I like my movie theatre popcorn, which I feel guilty getting if I’m giving the boys M&M’s from CVS.

We don’t have BJs in my neck of the woods, but my fiance’s mom is a member at both Costco and Sams.
I go almost every weekend for a free meal via the samples. Our Costco has a great book selection, and they sell the clothes I wear at work.
