Recession beaters pt. I-Swaps

I’m starting a new series in which I come up with unique (or at least less pat, I hope!) ideas to beat the current pile of disaster that is this economy.
Today’s idea is beauty product swaps. Essentially, in a swap you post on a forum what you have, and what you’d like. You can find them on makeupalley.com, naturallycurly.com, and in some Livejournal communities. I posted some stuff on Naturallycurly.com-a curl cream and leave-in from Sally’s that didn’t work out. I sold them-after shipping, I only came ahead about $.75, but given that I was just going to chuck them, I come out ahad, my buyer gets stuff cheap, everyone’s happy!
So find a forum you like, and get swapping.
