Trickle-down recession

by hedy on September 24, 2008

On Saturday we visited with a family friend.  We were with her grandchild and their nanny.  the nanny was commenting that she had had a family lined up for child care with a newborn, but the father lost his job so he could no longer afford the nanny.  As a result the nanny is worrying about if she can line up another family, and debating what to do if she can’t find one.  I thought it was interesting how an event which appear to just affect one class of people, effects many.  I think this will be a larger issue as tome goes on.

It is indeed going to be a larger issue. I think the only people who won’t be affected by it are the richest people, and who knows? Maybe even they’ll be affected
