While watching TV as I was getting ready for work this morning, I noticed a painfully dated looking ad. It had people with bad 80′s hair and makeup, watching a tiny tv with knobs (yeah, remember those?). Superimposed over that was a message from Sony saying that they were recycling their old commercials to encourage us to recycle our old electronics.
This upcoming Saturday, at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Sony and Waste Management will be collecting old electronics as part of their Take Back Recycling program. Old electronics will be collected and recycled. The article indicates that it generally costs money to recycle a TV, so not only can you get rid of some old electronics, but you could be saving yourself some money.
If you’re interested, the event is taking place from 9am-4pm on Saturday, September 13, and it will be located at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro

Sweet! I had forgotten about this. My DH will be bringing a few old monitors down. Thanks for the reminder!
