In a perfect, fuzzy, flawless personal finance world, all major purposes would be well thought out, rational decisions. However, stuff happens. For example, I was fairly confident that my 1998 Honda Accord would last me a long time. Then I stopped at a red light, and the industrial van behind me did not. So I found myself in search of a car, and in need of Auto Financing. Fortunately, I was able to educate myself on auto financing options and was able to make a smart decision. I ended up taking a great offer directly from the dealership, but there are many options out there-so even if you’re caught by a surprise purchase, still do your homework on the internet.
