I’ve been to Orlando five times, but I never went during the summer until the trip I took to Universal Orlando over the Forth of July. In all honesty, it was neither as hot nor as crowded as I expected. I had a great deal of fun. And, as a trade off to that, some great bonus events can take place then-both Universal and Walt Disney World have special fireworks. It was also my first time seeing the Islands of Adventure, which is an amazing park-the Spiderman ride alone is worth the price of admission. While I’m a theme park kind of gal, there are tons of things things to do in Orlando aside from theme parks. Of course, if I were ever to do the whole Staycation deal, I have the luxury of having oodles of local attractions like Boston Museum of Fine Arts. I also may look into things to do in Los Angelos for a trip I’m debating taking to California in 2009 or later. online travel guides
