My father would have been 74 today, had he not passed away in December of 2004. I don’t think I’d be a personal finance blogger if it weren’t for my dad. I mean, obviously no blogger would be here and blogging if not for their parents, but my dad tried to teach me something about money. While I was helping around the house as a wee Hedy, he would be lecturing me on putting money in the stock market rather than a bank. When I decided I wanted to get a better interest rate on the savings account I wanted to put my babysitting money in (I guess some things never change), he taught me to check for FDIC insurance. So here’s to him, like I said, I don’t think I’d be a pf blogger without him.
