I can’t believe that I am saying this, but it is almost fall!! How do I know? Let me count thy ways: 1) My daughter wore a little jacket to school this morning, 2) Conner Prairie’s Apple Store is now open, 3) The first NFL games will be starting next week, 4) It feels good to run outside again.
All of those…and I didn’t even mention that the Calendar says “September”!
I do love fall. It may very well be my favorite season (maybe second favorite after spring). I love the warm days but cool nights. I love that the apples are ripe and tasty and barely bruised at the supermarket. Soon trees will be turning and we will be taking our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. The only thing I don’t like about fall? It always seems to go to quickly.
