Proud mommy moment. Last night was my daughter’s first grade musical. They worked so hard on it! The classes practiced their songs and hand motions for months in music class. Then over the last couple of weeks the kids with solos had to go to school early every day.
I’m so proud of her for taking it seriously. She knew her songs and lines backwards and forwards. And when she spoke her lines, she did her best to “project” like a real actress (although another mother commented to me that she was TOO loud).
Here’s a tiny clip of just her two lines (mainly for the distant relatives who wanted to be here for the show but couldn’t be). My daughter is the letter “Y”.

Great job Jillian, could hear you very nice and clear, just like an actress should be heard.
