Earlier this year I decided to start a new site for work at home moms. Not so much about research but more about information gathering. There are so many work at home moms out there and so little definitive information about them. I’m going to start the site up slowly with polls and articles about WAHMs. But once I really get it going, I would like to do a comprehensive study. I’d like to know things like: Do most WAHMs use childcare? Will most WAHMs continue working from home once their kids are gone? Do the WAHMs make less money than if they were working in a traditional environment? Things like that. I think it’s a really rich area to study and am surprised to see so little research.
