Despite my disdain for what Google has done to my PageRank, I am so excited that I have my first Google first listing for a product. What this means is that if you search for a certain product on Google (Inspector Hector Rinse), I am the very first listing that comes up. It will take you to my Inspector Hector Pre-Brush Rinse review on Helping Moms Connect.
The good news is that I think that this is a product that will start to get a lot of attention soon (it is brand new this month). The bad news is that I make absolutely nothing off of people reading the review. LOL! I don’t even have any paid links on the page that relate to the product.
But it does reassure me of a couple of things 1) Despite having a Google Page Rank of 0 because of my paid posts, I am still being indexed well, 2) If you blog about something of substance that is unique, you can move up quickly in the search engines, and 3) I actually have unique things of substance to blog about.
So humor me. Go to Google and put in “Inspector Hector Rinse” and take a look at my article. Or you can put in “Inspector Hector” only and I think I am about the 12th listing. Not too bad for a term that already has a lot written about it. And not too bad for a girl who is just testing the waters in the world of blogging!
