I have to admit that I don’t pay much attention to print ads. My focus is online shopping. But my husband caught a good one today. In the Thanksgiving Day newspaper in Indianapolis, hhgregg had a beautiful color circular. They were advertising everything from televisions to appliances to GPS units.
Which brings us to the snafu. Check out the picture below. On the demonstration on the Garmin nuvi 260, you can clearly make out that the directions say “Jefferson Ave to Circuit City”.

Um….what? You want us to buy it at Circuit City instead? Okay, I think I will. Clearly they have better proofreaders working for them.
Incidentally, if you go check out the same model on hhgregg’s website, the directions say “9th Street to hhgregg.” So I guess someone figured it out.
