Why is it that some people are never happy unless they can make others miserable?
I have one co-worker in particular who tries to run the department although that is far from her job. She even goes as far as to call people at home and tell them that she does not like something they did — usually if it means she had to do a patient she gets ticked. She prefers to instead work another job (real estate) while being on the clock at the hospital where we work neglecting patients.
Some people just thrive on creating problems. She is late relieving me more often than not as I work 3rd shift. It is annoying to say the least. Yet, nothing is ever done about it.
This morning she was late. Nothing out of the ordinary. I say as little to her as possible to avoid getting her started. I have better things to do and I am no longer in junior high.
Today I had a lot of things going on before coming in to work at 7pm. My 13 year old was getting ready to leave later that evening for a school trip to Chicago and I was trying to make sure he had everything packed. I lost track of the time and was 6 minutes late getting to work. In nearly 8 years, I may have been late 3 times and all of them 5 minutes or less.
When I walked into the department, she mockingly says, “Do you have a problem with me?” I looked at her bewildered and said, “No.” She then says, “Well, I think you were late today just to spite me because I was late this morning.” I told her I was not late on purpose and that was ridiculous.
I believe I will be contacting Human Resources on Monday. I have had it. This is just an example of the crap she has done or said to me.
Grrrrrrrr
