Stop Bitchin and Get Movin!

by nicholmom3 on June 26, 2008

It’s that time of year when we have party after party to go to.  There’s food at work, church, and our children’s schools.  Where will it all end? How is one to try to eat healthy amidst all of the fattening and sugary foods?

This is a very trying time of year for those of us who try to not over-indulge or try to eat modestly healthy.  Many of us just give up and eat, eat, eat.  We promise ourselves that we will diet or eat healthy again after New Years.

Many turn to fat burning products that are sold over the counter or on the internet.  How can you find the best fat burner?  Check out this site that lists 25 of these products and rates each one.  There are dozens out there, why not read up on them to see which ones work and which ones do not.

This kind of makes me sad. :( For some of us, it is really, really hard. I balance working 12-14 hour days with keeping house and raising kids. I suffer from some pretty major body issues and when I get depressed or stressed out, I don’t turn to drugs…I turn to food. Every day I hate myself for eating what I shouldn’t eat and not exercising enough. I know that I have no one to blame but myself. But that doesn’t make it any easier.

I’m sorry for offending, Tricia. You aren’t the type of person I am referring to. Like I said, I too am at my heaviest weight ever, and every day is a struggle. Talk about temptation? I work at Starbucks! I’m just fed up with the people who DON’T recognize the problem and don’t try to fix it.
No one ever called weight loss easy, and if they do, steer far away from anything they are selling you! Keep your head up, and feel good knowing that you are giving it your all.

Fair enough. I’ve gone down the road of the weight loss pills before only to discover that they don’t help with the root problems I have. And when you go off of them, you gain back the weight VERY fast. If you don’t make the LIFESTYLE changes necessary to maintain a healthy weight, it’s impossible to keep the weight off.
