Spread some Holiday Cheer

In my internet travels I came upon a request that I need to share with as many people as possible. The request starts out like so many that are sent out daily asking for this or that, the majority being a scam to dupe innocent do gooders. This one? True and completely worth it. Read on!

Hi Everyone,

My cousin Nate Elfrink is 7 ½ years old and has been fighting cancer his entire life. They thought the tumor was finally gone earlier this year, but we found out last week that it has returned and is growing more rapidly than ever. Unfortunately, there is not much more they can do for him. His last wish is to receive as many Christmas Cards as possible, (hopefully 1 million)! If you get a moment, could you please send a Christmas card to Nate?

Here’s his address:

Here’s what the small town of West Jefferson will be doing for Nate so he’ll have the best Christmas ever:

Please keep Nate and his family in your prayers and go home and hug your kids.

Thanks for your help!

And for those that will immediately dismiss it as a scam (I’ll raise my hand!) Here is the link to snopes verifying the story. Sending a Christmas card to a sick child will cost you $.44 and a short walk to the mailbox. Think of the smiles he will have on his last time here on earth.

Merry Christmas all!
