The Active Family

I am a huge fan of internet networking. I’m completely addicted to facebook, used to be addicted to myspace, and I’m quickly becoming a fan of foodconnect. I’ve recently become aware of a specialized networking site dedicated to showcasing professionals and services in local cities.  MyCityFaces.com has listings for many major cities, and people who offer professional services can sign up for a free account! I went on to check out the buzz, and it looks like the perfect site for my husband to advertise his computer repair business. Not to mention my sister in law, who is the Catering Manager for a major Boston Hotel.
The ads are set up a bit like business cards, but with a lot more information! I love seeing people’s faces that I may be doing business with, and you don’t often see that on the internet. So how cool is that? A professional networking site, geared to the city of your choice, and FREE!

I searched theMyCityFaces.com Boston site, and found everything from hair stylists to audio music producers. I also noticed a section for events and job postings. Sounds like a lot of potential for a really useful site. I’m sure I’ll be passing this one on to all the professionals I know.
