Easiest Butt and Tummy Exercises EVER!

January 16th, 2008 · 4 Comments

So I was talking with a girlfriend at work the other day, and we were discussing all the various things we do to up our “calories burned” counts. I just HAD to tell her my favorite exercises.

For instance, get into the habit of squeezing your butt muscles with every step you take. YES you will feel ridiculous at first, but if you make a concious effort to do it all the time it will become second nature.

At the same time your are squeezing your butt muscles, make sure you are sucking in that gut as well. Not only will you have awesome posture but you will be strengthening your core all the time!! I also make a concious effort to keep my abs tightened while driving. (Toss in some Kegel exercises and your husband will thank you :) )

I know it sounds stupid,  but it works for me! I strive to do this every day, for at least a couple of hours. Heck I also do weird kick back things when I’m carrying the laundry up the stairs. Every movement counts in my book!

So, any weird exercises you do? Come on, open up….nothing could possibly be weirder than this post! Squeeze that Butt and Suck in that Gut!

Here’s mine. When I am brushing my teeth, I tuck one foot behind the other calf, leaving me standing on one foot. Then I raise up onto my toe–basically doing calf raises. I do 20 on each side and switch back and forth a few times.
