At Starbucks we have a pretty strict dress code. Black or khaki pants, white or black collared shirt, and black or brown shoes. Since I’m fine with a slimming all black ensemble, I’ve been on the hunt for comfortable and safe black shoes. The comfort factor is huge, as I’m on my feet for a minimum of 4 hours a whack, and it is constant on the go. The Safe part is pretty big as well. I need shoes that completely cover the tops of my feet, as we deal with seriously hot liquids that have the possibility of spilling. In fact, there was a barista a year or so that spilled a full french press on her feet, and it actually burned off her tattoo! That is scary stuff!
So in my hunt for affordable, safe, and dress code abiding shoes I came across work boots that look perfect. The prices are reasonable, and there are quite a few different styles to choose from. They don’t just have workboots, but a variety of work shoes as well. I think I’ll be ordering the Converse Womens C112 Sure Grip Plus Plain Toe Oxford. They also have miltary, postal and non slip styles.
