Anyone Looking to Move?

Did you know that your Halloween costume could frighten your pets? Most of us do not even give our pets a second thought when getting ready for Halloween. Masks and costumes are confusing and alarming for animals.

The constant ringing of the doorbell and large number of strangers cause stress too. This can cause an increase in dog bites because dogs believe they are guardians of our homes. Dogs can feel threatened if strangers enter their space.

If you know your pet is stressed by strangers and doorbells, find a safe, quiet place for your pet to rest while dealing with trick-or-treaters. Warn visitors not to cause your pet to panic. Technorati Profile

Make sure you keep the chocolate away from your dog. Chocolate is very dangerous to dogs as is the artificial sweetener Xylitol. Make sure kids know not to feed the dog candy and chocolate.
