A Day At The Zoo…

by nicholmom3 on April 23, 2008

There has been a recall of nearly 1.6 million cribs sold from January 1995 – September 2007 at Wal-mart, Kmart, and Target stores.  It is imperative that parents check the drop side cribs for loose hardware or safety problems.  Two 8-month old infants suffocated in a gap created when the movable side came off its guide track.  These incidents both involved Delta Enterprises cribs.

Thankfully, the recall doesn’t affect any cribs now in retail inventory.  But, as a precaution, I urge all parents to check the hardware on their cribs regardless of the manufacturer or date of purchase.  It is much better to be safe than sorry.

The company will offer consumers replacement safety pegs or spring peg kits.
