Today started off a lot better than yesterday, sort of!
I was up at 8 (okay…8:20) and got ready for Pilates. Ready to walk out the door and realized my darling husband has my set of keys in his jacket! Grrrr.
I was really tempted to plant it on the couch and surf the web, but I […]

Exercise Journal 4/27
April 28th, 2008 · No Comments
Today marked the start of my record keeping of diet and exercise. I’ve found that if I don’t keep track of what I’m doing, I go nuts with the snacking and sit on my butt all day. I have a journal that I keep track of during the day, but I thought I’d post it […]

Dress Codes: Safety First
April 26th, 2008 · No Comments
At Starbucks we have a pretty strict dress code. Black or khaki pants, white or black collared shirt, and black or brown shoes. Since I’m fine with a slimming all black ensemble, I’ve been on the hunt for comfortable and safe black shoes. The comfort factor is huge, as I’m on my feet for a […]

My Exercise Diary aka Hold Me Accountable!!!
April 24th, 2008 · No Comments
I’ve decided that if I truly am going to break out of my insecure shell and actually wear a bikini this summer (gasp) I need to get my butt in gear. I tend to have bursts of activity, and then loose all motivation for a few days. I’ve found that since having my second child […]

A Day At The Zoo…
April 23rd, 2008 · No Comments
Today I took my 3 kiddos to the Roger Williams Park & Zoo in Providence RI. It’s a great little zoo, lots of different animals to see. It is compact, and smaller than other zoos I’ve been to, but it fills a day, and you don’t miss anything!
The kids had a blast. My youngest was […]

I Heart Iced Tea!
April 16th, 2008 · No Comments
It’s another of my “addictions”. When I was pregnant, I drank so much iced tea I would get heartburn! While I try to stick to decaf at home, it is rarely possible to do that in the real world. Also, I realise that tea isn’t all that much better for you than coffee. Sure it has […]

Going Green with Spring Cleaning
April 15th, 2008 · No Comments
Ahhh Spring. The weather is getting warmer (mostly), the flowers are starting to pop up, and people everywhere are starting to drive around with the windows down (or cracked at least.) The frappacino blenders are going constantly at work, and people are ordering more iced drinks than before. With each new sign of spring, I […]

Yo Gabba Gabba!! An Active Review.
April 14th, 2008 · 2 Comments
I know some of you saw the title and groaned. It’s okay, I wasn’t a fan at first either. Stick with me here and I’ll explain how and why this show has grown on me.
Yo Gabba Gabba is a show on Nick Jr geared towards preschoolers. The main, um…character is a tall lanky man (DJ Lance […]

Internet Networking…aka keeping Mama in the loop.
April 11th, 2008 · No Comments
I am a huge fan of internet networking. I’m completely addicted to facebook, used to be addicted to myspace, and I’m quickly becoming a fan of foodconnect. I’ve recently become aware of a specialized networking site dedicated to showcasing professionals and services in local cities. MyCityFaces.com has listings for many major cities, and people who […]
