Nike is finally giving up the tape of Jordan Crawford dunking LeBron James at a recent skills camp run by James at the University of Akron. Apparently the now infamous dunk was caught on tape by two local journalists. According to Nike, their media guidelines don’t allow for the filming of pick up games. After confiscating the footage, there was a flurry of video backlash and comentary all over the internet. I’m going to assume that for the sake of business, Nike has no choice but to give up and let the “fans” see the tape. Of course, we knew it would get out somehow! It always does.
Just some quick background: Jordan Crawford started his college career at IU under Kelvin Sampson and left when Sampson did. He’s now at Xavier. James, the NBA “Superstar”, puts on these academy camps to help college players work on their skills. I think Crawford has skills!
Here’s the dunk! I think it’s nice to know that LeBron James is human. Shame on Nike for causing such a stir. They should have just put it out there in the first place.
