Everyday Mom

Oh, I can hardly stand it!  I have to share with you one of my favorite things about the new stadium.  Of course I, being a huge Colts fan, love the entire place.  The retractable roof that opens stealth without a sound, the giant window that allows a breeze to blow through and overlooks the city skyline, the Lucas touch of decor that includes racing vehicles of all kinds, it’s all fabulous.  But the thing I have told the most people about. . .I’m embarrassed to say. . .it’s such a girl thing. . .okay, it’s the carpet! 

I recently took a tour of the building.  I was priviledged to get a tour before most people were allowed in again because all of my friends and family know what a diehard fan I am.  I took several pictures that I would love to share with you but because they were during the final stages of construction, I will keep them secret with the exception of a few.  I liked the carpeting best.  I love the many different styles of Colts carpet in the building.  It made me want to put some in our bonus room which is painted Colts blue and adorned with beautiful Manning and Addai Fatheads and tons of memorabilia.  I know, you’re thinking, who goes to the new stadium and takes pictures of the carpet.  Well, me!!  I loved it.  I hope you enjoy the pictures.  Go COLTS!

I think this was a media room/meeting room on one of the suite levels.  Notice that it has Colts spelled out.

Entering Mr. Irsay’s suite.  This was a plush (fantastic, I might add) with what looked like handsewn horseshoes.  It was beautiful.

And finally, the coach’s office.  Coach Dungy’s office was so small and personal, nothing fancy.  He’s such a humble man.  It was perfect.  He doesn’t need a big beautiful office to be a big presence in the lives of those around him.  Notice though another style of Colts carpet.  I wonder if he picked it out?

I hope you enjoyed the carpet at Lucas Oil Stadium.  I’m sure I even missed some.  Maybe I’ll share more pictures with you later.  For now, I have to find some of that carpet!  I’m going to check out the selection at Online Sports.
