Online Video Tool Kit: Go Get It!

May 15th, 2008 · 1 Comment

As I get more plugged into the affiliate marketing world and I become more excited about the incredible potential there is for generating income via the internet, I spend a lot more time trying to learning new things from successful business people online.  Yesterday, my goal was to gather some information about making, editing, posting, and promoting videos online.  It doesn’t take much research to find that videos are quickly becoming the norm in the affiliate marketing world where success is best measured in sales and sales is driven by spreading the word about products and promotions.  What better way to share information with end users than to present it in video format?

Being fairly new, I’ve tried to get connected to information in various ways.  I’m currently using Twitter to follow what’s going on with Affiliate Summit and what’s new in Christian Affiliate Marketing.  In checking my Twitter account and reading new alerts from the CAM Blog, I came across www.onlinevideotoolkit.com.  I was very interested and headed over to take a look.  This site, owned and operated by Jim Kukral, includes comprehensive guides to everything from equipment, to preparing the set, to recording, and editing videos for use online.  I quickly signed up for full access to the information Mr. Kukral’s site had to offer and began to review the training videos.  I was impressed with his explanations and encouragement.  He definitely inspired me to get more involved in video marketing.  He also did a great job at making himself duplicatable.  Jim Kukral made it look simple and easy which means that even someone new to affiliate marketing and life online can do it and do it successfully.

Okay, so I was filled with information and excited to have come across another resource for my business building tool kit.  Imagine my surprise when I made my way back to Twitter to see what was new in the planning process for Affiliate Summit East in Boston and found that Jim Kukral was listed on the agenda as the MC for the opening remarks and keynote speaker.  Small world, right?  Mr. Kukral has quite the impressive resume.  He’s been involved in affiliate marketing since 2000 and has been blogging since 2001.  He was recently awarded the Affiliate Summit “Best Blogger” award.  He currently does a radio show called Video Ninjas where he shares his knowledge of online video and online video publishing tools.  He is also the owner and operator of www.scratchback.com, another resource for bloggers who want to better capitalize on the income potential available online.

So, guess who I’ll be excited to hear in Boston?  Now, if I could just win a free pass.  Affiliate Summit is offering affiliate marketers the opportunity to win a free pass via Twitter.  Anyone serious about the business needs to be at that summit.  There are opportunities to meet merchants and make new business connections.  There will also be a great deal of industry information shared that is invaluable as I prepare to become fully immersed in business online.  I’ve submitted a Twitter entry each week with no success yet.  Maybe this week will be my week!  Keep your fingers crossed!  Maybe I’ll get lucky and meet Mr. Kukral live and in person.

If you want to get connected to people and information online, go check out www.twitter.com.  Incidentally if you want to follow Everyday Mom, I’m ameeks on Twitter.    If you are involved in Christian affiliate marketing, there is great information available at www.christianaffiliatemarketers.com. If you are interested in online videos, visit Mr. Kukral at www.onlinevideotoolkit.com
