Everyday Mom

Okay, I just have to share. . .  We are sitting here poolside at the Disney Hilton Head Resort.  It is day two of our visit and while the weather hasn’t been bad, it really hasn’t been what I would call “pool weather”.  BUT the kids could not be put off any longer.  So, here we are sitting in jackets, covered by towels, watching out crazy kids swim in a slightly warm pool with an outside temperature of only 62 degrees.  In fact, we are not even alone.  There are about 10 crazy kids ”enjoying” some pool time. 

The funniest thing to me is watching the life guard.  She sits on her perch, with her whistle at the ready, watching all of these kids swim and shiver.  Occasionally, she yells, “Walk Please!”  It is so funny to watch as the kids speed walk, trying not to run.  They want to run so bad, but they know they will get in trouble.  I can’t tell if they are just eager to get back in the pool to play or if the exterior temperature has frozen them, and they need to get warm again in the water.  Either way, it is hilarious to watch them try not to run. 

We are looking forward to warmer temps this afternoon and hoping for warm sunny days by the end of the week.  If you’ve vacationed this spring, I hope you’ve enjoyed yourself!  We are having a blast despite the weather.  I’ll let you know more as our week comes to a close.  Until then, pray for some sun in Hilton Head!
