The Busy Life of a Single Mom

I think I’ve mentioned this before but my grandmother runs an adult foster home out of her personal house. She gets lots of business calls each day. We have tried hooking up answering machines to her phones, but it seems they die quickly or someone else turns them on and deletes them before she hears them. We’ve looked at some companies that will email your messages to you, but she doesn’t have a computer so that doesn’t really work in this situation.  Now I’m looking at answering service companies.

Map Communications is one solution we are considering. The company has been in existence since 1991 which gives me faith that they will be around and not just a temporary solution that disappears. While they do handle large companies, they are also willing to work with small home based businesses. While they handle issues much more complex than ours, we are thinking of using their service that will take messages and then fax them to you. The fax machine is in a separate location so this would be a perfect solution as then she could read over the messages and call people back as needed.
