The Busy Life of a Single Mom

Well I got a call last week, a friend of mine has been hit with identity theft. This is the closest experience I have had with this. Someone had managed to make checks that linked to his checking account and also had a department store credit card. He did not discover it until his bank called as he was acquiring a substantial negative balance. What a shocker! Luckily the bank is working with him to correct the problem. I’m not sure how they are going to handle the credit card issue.

It reminded me once again of the importance of protecting yourself. I have had warning after warning, but I never get around to actually taking any effort to protect my credit.  So today I’m heading over to lifelock to find a package that will suit my needs on my lunch break. I’m going to stop procrastinating and take action.
