My Favorite Crock Pot Stroganoff

by ashleigh on December 9, 2015

I love Beef Stroganoff and I grew up with my mom making it twice a month.  It was and is one of my favorite comfort food recipes.  Thankfully my husband and kids love it just as much.  With my kids schedules keeping me on the go I have found a great way to serve one of our favorites no matter how crazy our schedule is.  Here is my easy crock pot storganoff recipe ( also a fan of as few ingredients as possible). The first thing I do is put in my slow cooker liner for easy cleanup! That is a must.  I then add  a 1/2 cup of beef broth in the bottom of the crock pot, 1 pound cubed beef stew meat, and lastly I use 1 McCormak Slow Cooker Beef Stroangoff packet (follow directions on back) and pour over the beef.  You can cook this on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours.  After the beef is ready I set my slow cooker to warm and prep the easy noodles.  I boil a package of eggs noodles, strain noodles and then add 1/4 cup of beef broth and mix in 1 to 1 1/2 cups of sour cream to noodles.  For easy one pot serving I then add the noodles to the beef, mix and serve with a side of vegetables and a garden salad.  This easy no fuss recipe allows me to serve a family favorite with little time and trouble.
